Having played in many to cover bands for over 20 years, Paul brings a wealth of experience ensuring party goers get a wide range of songs to dance and sing along to. Inspired by classic 80s and 90s bands (from Bon Jovi, U2, Pearl Jam, Clapton and Mark Knopfler, to Kiwi and Aussie classics such as Exponents, AC/DC and Cold Chisel), he enjoys it most when the crowd get involved, but is also happy to read a room and ease back with some acoustic tunes when needed!

Richie - Bass & Backing Vocals
Typically seen grooving along to the wide range of thedrive's repertoire, Richie found prior success with his band Ruptus Jack (who opened for Deep Purple, amongst others!) and also enjoys creating with new band Arising Tide. Richie is comfortable across most genres and between he and Phil lays down a solid rhythm foundation to give the band its driving energy!
Phil - Drums & Backing Vocals
Drumming since a tender age, and also in bands for over 20 years, Phil brings energy and punch inspired by some of his favourite artists and drummers, such as Phil Collins, Dave Abruzzesse (Pearl Jam) Matt Cameron (Soundgarden & Pearl Jam), Steve Jordan (John Mayer), Dire Straits and modern driving dance tunes. Sure to keep the tempo rocking the entire night!
